This care transfers to Christie Clinic’s Transformations program led by Dr. Nathan Walker, a Christie Clinic internal medicine physician. Health coaches support Dr. Walker and meet with participants on a weekly basis to review their progress and discuss any challenges they may have.

As a doctor, I see firsthand the impact that obesity has on many aspects of a person’s life and health. That is the reason that Christie Clinic’s Transformations was conceived: to see the powerful and positive effects of weight loss in transforming lives. Transformations is both a professional and a personal mission for me because of the life-altering change that weight loss can bring to life.
Hobbies: I love outdoor activities and am an avid runner. It was my great pleasure to serve as Medical Director for the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon for three years. My wife and I enjoy the school and sport activities of our six lively children who keep our lives very busy.
My relationship with my patients is very special. I take the time to listen to their needs and work with them to develop a plan of care. Remaining approachable and down-to-earth has helped me really get to know the people who trust me with their healthcare needs. I learned very early in my career that if I treat my patients like I would my own family members, then I am doing it right. I also choose to lead by example. I don’t believe that I can ask my patients to eat right, exercise, and follow a healthy lifestyle if I don’t do those things myself.
Hobbies: My time away from work is almost always spent with my family. My husband, Chris, and I have 4 beautiful daughters- Hannah, Avery, & twins Addison and Aubree. Our girls keep us very busy with various different activities including travel softball, dance, basketball, soccer, and school activities. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling, reading, and attending sporting events.

I have been fortunate enough in my life to have been pushed in a positive direction by motivational and inspiring people. This has set a standard for me, and inspired me to set high goals. A top goal of mine has always been to take the best care of myself that I can, so that I can live a long healthy life and help others. I grew up in a home where nutrition was important and emphasized. Activity and sports have been a part of my life as well, and will always be. I hope to instill those traits and values in people that I meet! I very much enjoy being a health coach and have done so with the diet for six years. I believe in our protocol, it works and I live the lifestyle!
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends (especially my two year old daughter), working out (running, biking or volleyball), cooking, & gardening.

About Yourself: Weight loss has been a great part of my adult life. I would lose weight, only to gain it back time and time again. I finally found the diet that gave me my life back. We are not just another diet, but a new lifestyle change. I have lost over 60 lbs. and have maintained it over eight months.
I have learned so much about living a healthy life that I want to motivate and share this with others so they can achieve their goals as well.
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, golfing, shopping, and taking walks
About Yourself: I have always been intrigued by how well our bodies respond to good health and good nutrition. Working with the Transformations program I get to witness the positive effects every day. Seeing how patients are able to stop taking medications they have been on for years as well as transform their whole being, motivates me to live a healthy lifestyle and hopefully teach my family to make the same wise choices for their health.
Hobbies: Spending time with my daughter and husband, shopping and vacationing somewhere warm
About Yourself: Like so many others, I’ve tried many diet plans in my adult life, only to eventually fail. Then, I found Christie Clinic Transformations and have lost and maintained approximately 75 pounds!! I’m so thankful for this plan and consider Transformations my “happy place”. I did so well that when the opportunity arose for a coaching position, I jumped at the opportunity. I love working with the staff here as well as so many great clients. Watching them losing the weight and getting so much healthier and happier is such a joy. I’ve been a single mother for over 30 years, who raised 3 boys who are now grown men with careers and families of their own.
Hobbies: Time with family & friends, yearly family vacations, walking and a good book.
About Yourself: One of my favorite things about being a health coach is seeing the positive changes in clients lives and their energy levels go up! After many years of working in a pharmacy and seeing symptoms being alleviated with medications it is amazing to see this side where symptoms are being improved or prevented by healthy eating. It is fantastic to watch my clients reduce or discontinue medications because they have had improvements on their lab results. I am also a group fitness instructor and teach a variety of classes including Cardio, Bootcamp and Yogalates. Most importantly I am a mother to two great kids that keep me pretty busy.
Hobbies: I love running, biking and playing board games with my kids
About Yourself: Transformations changed my life in an extremely positive way. With the help of my coach and other dieters, I lost 65 pounds and have been able to maintain the loss for nearly six years. As a coach, I enjoy helping others achieve their goals of losing weight, learning new eating habits, and adjusting to a transformed lifestyle. I also lead the two support groups, Transformers and the Transformations Lifestyle. I believe that we’re on a diet our entire lives; Transformations helps us lose weight as well as unhealthy habits, creating a new way of living through a healthier diet.
Hobbies: In my spare time, I enjoy reading and cooking. My partner, Steve, and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, our dogs, and playing card games.
